Los Angeles Baptist Middle/High School

Bible class should be an enjoyable class for all Christian students.  The first semester we  will discuss the book of Acts.  Second semester will include the books of Titus and James.  Students are required to have an NIV Bible in class every day.  Nearly all of our work will be done in class through journals, discussion, written assignments, quizzes, tests, and role play!

Homework/Classwork—1 (each is counted once)

Journal—3 (each is counted three times)

Semester Exam—5 (counted five times)

· Journal 6:20 What do verses 7-11 say about patience?  What are we waiting for?  Who does James mention as an example of patience?

· Complete study guide part 13 and 14 due Friday

· Work on memory verse James 5:3 and 20

· Read James 5

· Screwtape letter 3

 

 

Wednesday 5/12

· Journal 6:21  Describe Yesterday’s chapel service about Uganda

· SG part 13 and 14 due Friday

· Memory 5:3 and 20

· James 5

 

Thursday 5/13

· Journal 6:22 Describe the life of Job.  Why is he such a good example of faith and patience?  Why should we have even more power than he did?

· Review and complete study guide part 13 and 14 due tomorrow

· Study for Quiz:  Memory 5:3 and 20; Screwtape Letters notes;  SG 13 and 14 James 5

· Quiz James 5 tomorrow!

 

Friday 5/14

· Journal 6:23 Describe what James 5:12-20 say about prayer.  List the things that are prayed for, how they are prayed for, and the results.  Who does James mention as an example of prayer?

· Journal share time and study time

· Turn in study guide part 13 and 14

· Quiz James 5

· Journals due Monday!
