Hello, students and parents!  Welcome to my simple but hopefully functional website.  We teachers have designed these sites to help facilitate better communication between home and school.  Here in the “Struyk Zone,” you’ll find portions of my course outlines posted along with announcements regarding upcoming tests, quizzes, and assignments.    As is customary, all class requirements will also be written on the board in my classroom and/or communicated verbally during class time.

Who am I?  Well, aside from being a husband for 10 years and a father of two little girls (a 3 year-old and a 8-month old as of August 2009), I have taught Spanish at my alma mater L.A. Baptist for five years now.  Before coming back to L.A.B. as a teacher, I was an assistant pastor down in Orange County for approximately 7 years.  I was a Spanish teacher at another school in Huntington Beach for 3 years during that same time frame.  Besides L.A.B., I’m also a proud graduate of Vanguard University in Costa Mesa (M.A., B.A., B.A.).  I am also very excited about the new role that God has placed me in this year as I will be functioning as L.A.B.’s campus pastor.  Hopefully the most significant thing that you will learn about me, however, is that I love God and am simply trying to be a faithful follower of His Son, Jesus Christ as I live out my life. . .
